- Drink water instead of regular soda or juice. Add lemon, lime or orange slices to add flavor.
- Use a small plate for lunch and dinner instead of a dinner size plate. This will help you eat smaller portion sizes.
- Drink one-percent or fat-free milk instead of two-percent or whole milk.
- Choose a four-ounce cup of sugar-free yogurt instead of an eight-ounce cup of regular yogurt for a snack.
- Use light, whole wheat bread and mustard instead of regular bread and mayonnaise for sandwiches.
- Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking juice for a snack.
- Slice fresh carrots, squash, cucumbers and broccoli to eat with salsa mixed with low-fat sour cream instead of chips.
