Questions you need to ask at a job interview

Towards the conclusion of your job interview the employer asks, “Do you have any questions for us?” Be aware of how you answer this question as it may help to steer how an employer feels about your candidacy for the job.
Below are a few ideas for the questions you may ask at your job interview.
Questions for your personal evaluation:
Q: Does your company offer any type of training opportunities? When a company hires a new employee, they usually provide some type of professional development for you. This training may include seminars, conferences, or educational incentives to help with improving job skills.
Q: Who would be my immediate supervisor? You should learn as much as you can about your new potential boss.
Q: How will I be evaluated? The first few months on a job are usually probationary, so try to find out how you will receive feedback on your performance.
Q: Are there any immediate assignments I would be expected to complete? You are inquiring about what the company is currently working on. This shows an employer that you are ready to make an immediate contribution to the company.
Questions about the company:
Q: Why has this position become available? Asking this question helps you to find out if there was someone in the position previously or if it is a new position.
Q: Are there any significant changes about to take place within the company? This is a worthwhile question that will help you to evaluate if you are making a solid career move with an established company.
Q: How does this position fit into the organization? You are simply asking how your position helps to support the mission of the company.
Questions for a management position:
Q: How much authority will I be given to work with the staff? Every supervisor should be aware of the limitations that may be placed upon them within the workplace. This can be addressed with this question.
Q: How is the morale within the department? This question can provide some insight into the overall climate within a department and helps you to have an idea of what to expect on your first day.
Questions regarding follow-up:
Q: When do you expect to make a hiring decision? This question helps to provide a timeline for when you will receive an answer about the job.
Q: Is there anything else I can tell you about my qualifications? This question is asked to ensure that an employer understands your qualifications and skills relevant to the position.
